Synopsis:
Players start the game with two family members living in a two-room wooden hut. In each round, each member of their family machoose one action.
If they collect wood and reed, they can extend their hut and then add to their family.
Family growth allows additional actions, but has the disadvantage that more food must be produced.
And to get food, the players plow fields and plant seeds.
The planted grain and vegetables are harvested during the Harvest, when animals breed as well. To raise animals, pastures must be fenced to allow sheep, wild boar and cattle to graze.
Occupations or Improvements can ensure a family's upkeep. Each of these cards allows the player a small advangate in the game.
Victory Points are earned when players renovate their wooden hut to a clay hut and later even a stone house. But everything else to do with balancing food requirements or making every day life a little more comfortable can earn Victory Points - especially Family growth.
Each game uses a different group of the 166 different Occupation cards and 146 different Improvements, ensuring that no two games are exactly alike. Additional rules for a Solo game and a shortened Family game ensure appropriate challenges for each gaming table.

Synopsis:
The southern French city of Carcassonne was founded on an important trade route between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. Because of its strategic location, the city was often conquered and has known many rulers. As a result of this varied history, the city is famous for its unique mixture of Roman and Medieval fortifications.
The players develop the area around Carcassonne by placing land tiles. Each turn the area becomes larger as the players expand and add roads, fields, cities, and cloisters. The players may also deploy their followers as thieves, farmers, knights, and monks to control and score points for the roads, farms, cities, and cloisters. As the players have only a few followers, the wise player will plan his moves carefully and deploy followers when and where he can earn the most points.
Carcassonne - a simple, clever tile laying game, that brings new challenges with every turn.

Synopsis:
In Citadels, you are a medieval ruler trying to complete your city before your opponents can build theirs. Expand your city by adding new districts, but be sure to invest wisely: Some districts are more valuable than others, but cost more gold to build.
There is more to rulig a city than gold, however. Lords, ladies, and other nobility all have a role to play. The game changes each turn as each player secretly chooses a new role - the Assassin, Thief, Magician, King, Bishop, Merchant, Architect, or Warlord - and the power that comes with it.
This edition of Citadels includes the Dark City expansion. This exciting addition to the game features 14 new purple district cards and a premium wooden "King" marker.

Synopsis:
90,000 B.C. - A great ice age is fast approaching. Another titanic struggle for global supremacy has unwittingly commenced between the varying animal species.
Dominant Species is a game that abstractly recreates a tiny portion of ancient history: the ponderous encroachment of an ice age and what that entails for the living creatures trying to adapt to the slowly-changing earth.
Each player will assume the role of one of six major animal classes - mammal, reptile, bird, amphibian, arachnid or insect. Each begins the game more or less in a state of natural balance in relation to one another. But that won't last: it is indeed "survival of the fittest."
Through wily action pawn placement, players will strive to become dominant on as many different terrain tiles as possible in order to claim powerful card effects. Players will also want to propogate their individual species in order to earn victory points for their particular animal. Players will be aided in these endeavors via speciation, migration and adaptation actions, among others.
All of this eventually leads to the end game - the final ascent of the ice age - where the player having accumulated the most victory points will have his an imal crowned the Dominant Species.
But somebody better become dominant quickly, because it's getting mighty cold....

To do this you will hire minions, construct buildings, spruce up your castle, and fill the coffersof your treasury. Your parents wouldn't be proud, but your grandparents, on your mother's side, would be delighted.

Synopsis:
Did you ever play with trains as a kid? Did you while away hours connecting cars to an engind and imaging them all rumbling their way down the tracks? And the longer the train the better, right? Now you and your friends can do it together!
In Freight Train, each player runs their own freight yard and several trains. Using these and a shared main yard, players take eleven different types of freight cars and compete to form the longest trains.
The game lasts for three "days", but when the yard foreman calls it quits the "day" is over. As each day wears on, tension mounts as players scheme to ensure that their trains will be the longest.
The locomitives are waiting. Are you ready to roll?

    Synopsis:
The monumental statues of Easter Island, known as moais, are one of the most fascinating exploits attributed to mankind. How did a handful of sculptors, tucked away on a miniscule island, ever manage such a feat. Isolated from the rest of the world, they built more than 800 statues, each weighing several tons with certain measuring nearly 10 meters tall. Cooperation between tribes, innovative use of wood and their earnest hard work are certainly part of the explanation for their incredible feat. These stone giants are one of the rare vestiges of a highly refined civilization, the Rapanui, who prospered for more than a millennium in peace and tranquility. Now it's your turn to relive their inspiring adventure as builders of the moais!
For 3 to 5 players, lasting around an hour, the game, GIANTS, will take you on an exceptional quest deep into the heart of the golden age of the Rapanui civilization. Become the most prestiguous tribe chief. Assemble powerful Rongo tablets. Build the most imposing statues. Make the best use of yur sorcerer's powers. Become a living legend! Your tactical skills and your capacity to adapt quickly will make the difference, but don't forget, building a moai requires teamwork. Propose your services to other tribes and benefit from their help. Your masterpieces will stand tall for centuries.

    Synopsis:
We write of the year 1846. Gunslingers, lawmen, pioneers and whole families left their homes in th east and midwest to try their luck in the West. They loaded their covered wagons with all they could and headed west across steppes, deserts, and mountains. Many chose to settle in Oregon, where the farming and hunting was plentiful and they could stake out a bit of land for themselves.
The players have reached Oregon and gaze upon the rich farmland below and the potential gold and coal reserves of the mountains. They build ports on the lakes and rivers, churches, warehouses, post offices, and train stations on the plains. And, of course, they must farm the rich land to grow the food necessary for the area to grow and thrive.
To win, a player must choose the right times to farm and the right times to build, for planning is necessary even here in the untamed wilderness of Oregon!

    Synopsis:
Welcome dear Imperialists. It's the year 2415. The Interplanetary Federation (IPF) has done a great job in the last centuries. All necessary precautions have been taken to conquer this planet named "Steam." The core of the planet consists of a 6500 degrees Celsius hot source containing different resources, including water. It has taken over 100 years to complete the ifrst block of 42 shafts from the surface to the core.
But now the time has come. From every shaft surges the hot steam, platforms have to be placed over the shafts. Later, we can use the platforms to connect the water purification tanks. By using several tank extensions we can harvest other resources like energy, ore and quartz from the steam. These resources are important. You will need them to grow your steam empires. You will need to increase the capacity of your landing craft to transport your harvested materials off planet. Buy and sell the resources at the Trading terminal for profit, as currency is -like on earth- always on short supply on Planet Steam.
To help you in your endeavors, the IPF has placed several specialists at your command. But getting the specialist that you require may not be easy.
In the end, the player who has, through tactics or trading, the most Credits will win the game.

After Power Grid taught you the tough competition between energy producers, now you get to know the road traveled by energy consumers.
Start to be a Factory Manager and make the important decisions to improve your own factory. Fight against the other competitors for the best factory equipment available in the market to be the best player at the end of the game.
Power Grid - Factory Manager is a Business-Buildup Game. You start with a small factory and try to improve it. At the beginning, you may simply focus on increasing the production. Later you are confronted with new challenges: track the ever increasing energy price and cleverly distribute your workers for the best benefit.
By being close to the theme, the game is logical and coherent in its main features. A clever new mechanism improves the game by affecting the player order and the actions on the market.
But don't say we did not warn you: Because of only 5 turns the game is exciting right from the start. Be careful all the time or your fellow players will mercillessly leave you behind.

    Synopsis:
Who doesn't know the wonders of the ancient world? World renown gigantic monuments, made by the hands of men to honor or glorify God. The most famous of these are known today as the seven wonders of the ancient world: the pyramid of Giza, the colossus of Rhodes, the statue of Zeus at Olympia, the hanging gardens of Babylon, the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, the Lighthouse of Alexandria, and the temple of Artemis at Ephesus. And, perhaps, also the unfinished tower of Babel - the eighth wonder of the ancient world?
Monuments cannot be erected by individuals. Each player needs the help of the others to complete his work. The others, of course, expect something in return. The challenge is to get the right help at the right time.
When should the pyramid be finished? How many building pieces are needed to complete the temple of Artemis? Should I play a trade card or not? The players must answer these and other questions turn by turn. Each, of course, wants to be the greatest builder of the ancient world!

    Synopsis:
In 1945, unlikely allies toppled Hitler's war machine, while humanity's most devastating weapons forced the Japanese Empire to its knees in a storm of fire. Where once there stood many great powers, there now stood only two - the United States and the Soviet Union. The world had scant months to collectively sigh in relief before a new conflict threatened. Unlike the titanic struggles of the preceding decades, this conflict would be waged not primarily by soldiers and tanks, but by spies and politicians, scientists and intellectuals, artists and traitors. Twilight Struggle is a two-player game simulating the 45 year dance of intrigue, prestige, and occasional flares of warfare between the USSR and the USA. The entire world is the stage on which these two titans fight. The game begins amidst the ruins of Europe as the two new superpowers scramble over the wreckage of WWII, and ends in 1989, when only the United States remained standing.

    Synopsis:
"Oh sure, buy the house next to the cemetery," they said.
"What are you afraid of?" they said. "You don't expect the dead to get up anytime soon, do you?"
It seemed like a good idea at the time.
    Then the murders started.
"There's no such thing as zombies," they said.
    They were WRONG!
Now your days are filled with frantic running from house to house gathering plywood, ammunition, food... Whatever you can find. Sometimes you even have to rescue some of the people who gave you such good advice to begin with.
No such thing as zombies... Yeah Right!
ZombieTown drops you in the middle of the action as you rush around to gather supplies and rescue survivors. Oh, and you might want to avoid the living dead as they rise from the conveniently located cemetery in the middle of town.
